Our Instructors

All of our faculty have extensive industry experience and are dedicated to providing training that surpasses the needs of the industry. Our instructors lead programs that are inclusive and engaging, offering you the most well-rounded and relevant education possible.

Pristine Laroza
Health Care and Practice & Management Instructor

Pristine is a Registered Nurse and Emergency First Aid CPR/AED Level HCP certified.

Her degree as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing came from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Centre in the Philippines. She also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Administration and Nursing Practice from the University of British Columbia.

Throughout her career, she has worked with biomedical engineers, nurses, and doctors as well as managed a team of healthcare professionals.

As a natural leader, Pristine is passionate about imparting her knowledge and expertise to the next generation of nursing leaders.

Simone Luke
Software Development & Network Administration Instructor

Simone has worked for the Big Four consulting firms over the course of his 20-year career as a successful IT professional.

His Master’s degree is in Business and Technology from the Australian Graduate School of Management. Additionally, he is a candidate for the Ph.D. at Purdue University.

With his many roles, he designed banking systems and gained extensive experience in security and risk management.

He is eager to provide students with insight and experience from his passions and expertise.

Bill Xu
Software Development & Network Administration Instructor

Bill holds a Ph.D. from Simon Fraser University’s Department of Computer Science.

In addition to teaching, he runs projects related to artificial intelligence as part of his career with the Canadian government.

As a result of his extensive experience in the industry, Bill was elected a member of The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), and the Association for Computer Machinery (ACM).

His goal is to introduce students to the wide range of opportunities that the Network Administration field offers.

Sophie Kaur
Business Administration Instructor

Sophie has worked in the education industry for over 10 years.

She earned a Bachelor of Engineering and a Master of Business Management from the University of Salford.

Her experiences include working with diverse groups of students in the U.K., China, and now Canada.

Throughout her career, Sophie has promoted lifelong learning and led by example.

She encourages her students to think outside the four walls of the classroom. Sophie believes the world is a place of learning and discovery.

Mehrdad Zaeri
Software Development & Network Administration Instructor

Mehrdad has been specialized in IT and network for more than 13 years.

He has 2 master’s degrees: one in Computer Science from the University Putra in Malaysia and another in Cybersecurity from the New York Institute of Technology.

The work that Mehrdad has done has taken him all over the world, not just as a Network Technician, but also in the field of Systems Administration.

Despite his great passion for IT, he confesses to being devoted to teaching it to the next generation, as well as preparing them for that career.

Mari Karimi
Health Care and Practice & Management Instructor

With more than 9 years of experience, Mari has held roles as an RN, Nurse Manager and Instructor. She is an expert in medical surgical as well as gerontology nursing. After completing her Bachelor and Master of Nursing degrees, she is passionate about improving the lives of patients and teaching nursing students about her experiences. “As a field, nursing covers a large amount of information, yet due to its nature, it relates directly to our lives and the lives of those around us. Having the opportunity to teach and learn with my students and clients is an exciting prospect for me.” She says. Her goal is to help those in need and have a positive impact on their lives.

Marius Kung
Technology Instructor

Since graduating with a Master of Computer Science degree, Marius has been working in the information technology and telecommunication industries. Marius’ experience started in Canada working for oil companies such as Gulf Canada before moving to Asia and working for AIA, National Semiconductor, Hitachi Data Systems, Philip Morris and APL, in various roles. Before returning to Canada, Marius spent numerous years conducting businesses in Asia Pacific for Vodatel. Marius’ knowledge and experience spans from basic core infrastructure to application development across different technology platforms while his soft skills help him to manage administration and human resources well.
